How to Fund Your Wallet

Adding Cryptocurrency to Your Wallet

There are two main ways to fund your wallet with cryptocurrency:

Method 1: Buy with Card (Recommended for Beginners)

The easiest way to get started. Purchase cryptocurrency directly with your credit or debit card using Relay.link.

Steps:

  1. Click "Buy with Card" on the RentStac presale box
  2. You'll be redirected to Relay.link
  3. Enter your wallet address (auto-filled if connected)
  4. Choose the amount and currency (ETH recommended)
  5. Complete the payment with your card
  6. Receive crypto in your wallet within minutes
What is Relay.link?

Relay is a trusted crypto onramp service that allows you to buy cryptocurrency with fiat currency (USD, EUR, etc.) using your credit or debit card.

Advantages:
  • Fast and convenient
  • No need for exchange accounts
  • Direct delivery to your wallet
  • Beginner-friendly
Considerations:
  • May include processing fees
  • Purchase limits may apply
  • Requires identity verification

Method 2: Transfer from Exchange

If you already have cryptocurrency on an exchange (Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, etc.), you can transfer it to your wallet.

Steps:

  1. Log into your exchange account
  2. Navigate to Withdraw or Send
  3. Select the cryptocurrency (ETH, USDT, or USDC)
  4. Copy your wallet address from MetaMask/your wallet
  5. Paste the address in the exchange withdrawal form
  6. Important: Select Ethereum (ERC-20) network
  7. Enter the amount and confirm withdrawal
  8. Wait for the transfer to complete (5-30 minutes)
Critical: Network Selection

Always select Ethereum (ERC-20) network when withdrawing USDT or USDC. Using the wrong network (like TRC-20 or BSC) will result in permanent loss of funds.

Advantages:
  • Lower fees for large amounts
  • No purchase limits
  • More payment options
Considerations:
  • Requires exchange account
  • Longer verification process
  • Withdrawal fees apply
  • Risk of wrong network selection

How Much Should I Fund?

Consider these factors when funding your wallet:

  • Investment Amount: The amount of RNS tokens you want to buy
  • Gas Fees: Reserve ~$20-50 in ETH for transaction fees
  • Buffer: Add 10-15% extra for price fluctuations and fees
Pro Tip:

If buying with USDT or USDC, also keep some ETH in your wallet to pay for gas fees during the purchase transaction.

Verifying Your Balance

After funding, verify your balance:

  1. Open your wallet (MetaMask, etc.)
  2. Check the balance is showing correctly
  3. For tokens (USDT/USDC), you may need to add them to your wallet view
  4. Ensure you're on Ethereum Mainnet

How to Buy RNS Tokens

Purchasing RNS Tokens During Presale

Follow this step-by-step guide to purchase RNS tokens during the presale phases.

Prerequisites

  • A Web3 wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.)
  • Sufficient cryptocurrency balance (ETH, USDT, or USDC)
  • Small amount of ETH for gas fees

Step-by-Step Purchase Process

1. Connect Your Wallet

Visit the RentStac website and click the "Connect Wallet" button. Select your wallet provider and approve the connection request.

2. Navigate to Presale

Click on "Buy RNS" or navigate to the presale section of the website. You'll see the current presale phase, price, and remaining tokens.

3. Enter Purchase Amount

Enter the amount you wish to invest. The calculator will show:

  • How many RNS tokens you'll receive
  • Current presale phase price
  • Estimated gas fees
  • Total cost
Minimum Purchase

The minimum purchase amount may vary by phase. Check the current requirements in the presale interface.

4. Select Payment Method

Choose your preferred payment cryptocurrency:

  • ETH - Direct Ethereum payment
  • USDT - Tether stablecoin (requires token approval)
  • USDC - USD Coin stablecoin (requires token approval)

5. Approve Transaction

If paying with USDT or USDC, you'll need to approve the token spending first (one-time action). Then confirm the actual purchase transaction in your wallet.

6. Confirmation

After confirmation, wait for the transaction to be processed on the blockchain (typically 1-3 minutes). You'll receive a confirmation message when complete.

After Purchase

Your RNS tokens will appear in your dashboard. During presale, tokens are held in the smart contract and will be claimable at Token Generation Event (TGE).

Token Distribution

RNS tokens purchased during presale have no vesting period and will be immediately available at TGE for trading and staking.

Common Issues

Transaction Failed

Common reasons and solutions:

  • Insufficient gas: Increase gas limit in wallet settings
  • Insufficient balance: Ensure you have enough for both purchase and gas fees
  • Slippage: Transaction took too long, try again

Tokens Not Showing

If tokens don't appear immediately:

  • Refresh your dashboard
  • Check transaction status on Etherscan
  • Clear browser cache
  • Contact support if issue persists

Investing & Staking

How to Earn Returns with RentStac

Understanding RentStac Returns

RentStac offers two main ways to earn returns on your investment:

1. Holding RNS Tokens (Passive)

Simply holding RNS tokens in your wallet provides benefits:

  • Buyback & Burn: Protocol uses property cash flows to buy back and burn tokens, reducing supply
  • Price Appreciation: As supply decreases and demand increases, token value tends to rise
  • Governance Rights: Vote on protocol decisions
  • No Lock-up: Complete liquidity at all times
Passive Benefits

Holding RNS requires no action but provides exposure to the protocol's overall growth through deflationary mechanisms.

2. Staking RNS Tokens (Active)

For higher returns, stake your RNS in property-specific pools:

How Staking Works

  1. Choose a Property Pool: Browse available properties in the dashboard
  2. Review Details: Check expected ROI, lock period, and property information
  3. Stake Tokens: Allocate your RNS to the selected pool
  4. Earn Returns: Receive proportional share of property cash flows

Staking Rewards

Active stakers receive multiple benefits:

  • Base ROI: Direct share of rental income and capital gains from properties
  • Bonus RNS Rewards: Extra tokens as staking incentives
  • Reduced Fees: Lower marketplace trading commissions
  • Priority Access: Early entry to new property pools
  • Enhanced Governance: Stronger voting power on property-specific decisions

Lock Periods

Different pools offer various lock period options:

  • Flexible (No Lock): Withdraw anytime, lower ROI
  • 3 Months: Medium ROI, quarterly commitment
  • 6 Months: Higher ROI, semi-annual commitment
  • 12 Months: Highest ROI, annual commitment

Distribution Schedule

Returns are distributed automatically via smart contracts:

  • Frequency: Monthly or quarterly (depends on property pool)
  • Currency: Distributions in RNS tokens
  • Calculation: Proportional to your stake in the pool
  • Delivery: Automatic transfer to your wallet

Expected Returns

Return rates vary based on multiple factors:

Property Performance

  • Rental occupancy rates
  • Property location and type
  • Market conditions
  • Management efficiency

Your Strategy

  • Passive Holding: Indirect benefits from buybacks
  • Flexible Staking: 6-8% annual ROI (example)
  • Locked Staking (12mo): 10-15% annual ROI (example)
Important Note

Returns are based on actual property performance and are not guaranteed. Past performance does not indicate future results. Always review property details and risk factors before staking.

Maximizing Your Returns

Diversification

Spread your investment across multiple property pools to reduce risk and maximize opportunities.

Compound Growth

Reinvest your distributions by staking them in additional pools for compound growth.

Lock Period Strategy

Balance between liquidity needs and higher returns from longer lock periods.

Active Participation

Engage in governance voting to influence property management and protocol decisions.

Tracking Your Earnings

Monitor your performance in the dashboard:

  • Current staked amount
  • Accumulated returns
  • Distribution history
  • Next payout date
  • Property performance metrics
  • Overall portfolio ROI

Tax Considerations

Tax Obligations

Selling crypto assets may trigger tax obligations in your jurisdiction. Keep records of all transactions and consult a tax professional for advice specific to your situation.

Important tax aspects:

  • Capital gains/losses on token sales
  • Income from staking rewards
  • Cost basis tracking
  • Reporting requirements

Withdrawal Best Practices

Timing

  • Monitor market conditions
  • Avoid panic selling during volatility
  • Consider tax year timing
  • Plan around lock expiry dates

Strategy

  • Don't liquidate entire position at once

  • Reinvest distributions for compound growth
  • Maintain emergency fund separately

Security

  • Verify recipient addresses carefully
  • Use reputable exchanges
  • Enable 2FA on all platforms
  • Test with small amounts first

Troubleshooting

Can't Unstake

  • Check if lock period has expired
  • Verify you have tokens staked
  • Ensure wallet is connected
  • Check for sufficient gas fees

Transaction Pending

  • Check Etherscan for status

  • Can speed up with higher gas fee
  • Contact support if stuck for hours

Slippage Errors

  • Increase slippage tolerance
  • Try smaller amounts
  • Trade during higher liquidity periods
  • Use limit orders instead of market orders
